Vegetarian Portfolio

Our Vegetarian Portfolio offers a range of plant-based capsule options for customers who prefer non-animal derived materials for their products. The two main options in our vegetarian portfolio are Pullulan Capsules and HPMC (Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) Capsules.

Pullulan Capsules are made from pullulan, a natural water-soluble polysaccharide produced by fermentation of the fungus Aureobasidium pullulans. Pullulan capsules are non-animal derived, non-GMO, and have excellent oxygen barrier properties. They are also transparent, odorless, tasteless, and have good mechanical strength. Pullulan capsules are often used in the dietary supplement and pharmaceutical industries.

HPMC Capsules, on the other hand, are made from cellulose and are suitable for a wide range of applications in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. HPMC is derived from vegetable cellulose and is a preferred material for customers seeking a vegetarian or vegan option. HPMC capsules are also non-animal derived, non-GMO, and offer excellent oxygen barrier properties. They have a natural white color and can be customized with various colors, opacifiers, and printing options to meet customer requirements.

Both Pullulan and HPMC capsules are available in various sizes and can be filled with powders, granules, and liquids. They are also compatible with most filling machines and offer high-speed filling capabilities.
